IT Auditor



Fitch Group’s Internal Audit team is currently seeking an IT Auditor based out of our Canary Wharf, London office.



The IT Auditor will conduct independent and objective assurance testing over Fitch’s IT internal control environment, working as part of the Internal Audit team. This role requires an individual who can take an operational role in delivering audit engagements to Fitch Internal Audit’s standards with minimum supervision

We’ll Count on You To:

Planning and delivering risk-based audit engagements
Document audit work in line with department’s standards
Able to complete audits within budget
Discussing findings of audits with management
Reporting the results of audits including management responses and proposed action plans
Performing follow-up work to validate management actions are completed
Maintain good working relationship with stakeholders
Conducting ad hoc investigations and reviews as required
Contributing to the Internal Audit department’s progress and growth


What You Need to Have:

Audit experience principally in IT audit
Understanding of concepts related to information systems audit, including Information security, Application Development & Architecture, Code Security, Cloud Infrastructure, Application Development Methodologies, External IT service hosting and General IT controls
Strong application auditing skills
Detailed understanding of internal auditing and risk management principles and best practices such as Cobit framework
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong influencing and negotiating skills
Good attention to detail and record keeping
Ability to work independently as well within a team
Ability to prioritize competing needs and meet established deadlines
Highly developed investigative skills
Ability to use own initiative


What Would Make You Stand Out:

Professional manner
Working knowledge of SOX and Dodd Frank framework
Knowledge and experience of auditing software and GRC applications.
Membership of/ certification by recognized industry bodies e.g. CISA
Financial Services experience is preferred
